Stripe + Base44 SOP

A repeatable deployment checklist for building paid-access apps in Base44 with Stripe. This document captures every integration step so future projects can be launched without reinventing the setup.

Create a Stripe Account (or use existing)

Go to dashboard.stripe.com. Keep test mode ON until ready to go live.

Create a Product

Stripe Dashboard → Products → Add Product.
Name the product (e.g., "Book Selling Secrets Masterclass").
No need to create Stripe Prices — we use price_data dynamically in the checkout function so tiers require no Stripe Price IDs.

Get your Secret Key

Developers → API Keys → Copy Secret Key (starts with sk_test_ or sk_live_).

Never expose the secret key on the frontend. It lives only in Base44 environment secrets.

Register the Webhook Endpoint

Developers → Webhooks → Add Endpoint.
URL: Copy the stripeWebhook function URL from Base44 → Code → Functions → stripeWebhook.
Events to listen for: checkout.session.completed
After saving, copy the Signing Secret (starts with whsec_).

Save secrets in Base44

Base44 Dashboard → Settings → Environment Variables. Add:
STRIPE_SECRET_KEY     = sk_test_...  (or sk_live_... for production)
STRIPE_WEBHOOK_SECRET = whsec_...
